New tape out now on the affiliated Litho label, with perforated 2nd inner flap for use as filter tips…for enhanced enjoyment of #fadbdd.

In 2015 Fuchs inherited a collection of reel to reel tapes and recorders, which had been stored by his friend and neighbour, Martin Ermisch, who had recently deceased at 91 years of age.

The recoders and tapes had belonged to Martin`s son, Bernd Jürgen, who had been a musician and studio owner in Kassel and had passed away in the 90`s.

The tapes contain days worth of unique material recorded in Jürgen`s studio, but also recordings of family events, fieldrecordings as well as radio broadcasts.

All source material from the #fadbdd series was destructively edited from the Ermisch Archive, manually looped and transfered to computer where the loops were then arranged and processed, resulting in warped and wonky, exotica leaning, hip-hop inspired ambience.

Schneider TM vs. cellF

You can now listen back to Schneider TM’s duet with Guy Ben-Ary’s cellF, the world’s first neural synthesizer, from this past May at Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Receiving Schneider’s guitar signals, the primitive neural network was able to respond via electrical bursts, which were sonified via a connected synthesizer. CONRAD SCHNITZLER / SCHNEIDER TM: CON-STRUCT is available now as CD, vinyl & digital via Bureau B in cooperation with MWM.

The German pioneer of electronic music Conrad Schnitzler (1937–2011) amassed a vast archive of sounds for use in combination with each other in live performances. In 2011 the idea came up of con-structing new compositions, not remixes, from this material. The Con-Struct series was born. The second release of the series features con-structions by Schneider TM. “I am very happy and honored to be invited to do an album for the Con-Struct series and wanted to do something special and genuine in this posthumous collaboration with Conrad Schnitzler. I wanted to get as close to his spirit as possible, so I created a musical situation as if we were actually collaborating together in the same room, with Conrad playing his pre-recorded sound-files or modular system and me dubbing and processing it live on the fly… almost as if it was a live-concert situation.”
