Intro

Next to many one-off projects like composing and recording music for movies (1. Mai, 66/67, Polnische Ostern, In Der Überzahl, Teilhard, Remainder etc. with directors like Omer Fast, Ludwig & Glaser etc.), performance theater (The Scorpionfish, Louis & Bebe w/ Joanna Dudley & Rufus Didwiszus) or radio plays (e.g. Release, Hochhaus by Paul Plamper; Türken, Feuer by Claudia Leist & Özlem Özgül Dündar or Simeliberg by Michael Fehr & Kai Grehn), he plays & records with krautrock legends faust as well as freeform noise-projects like die Angel (w/ Ilpo Väisänen of Pan sonic & guests) or Angelicus (w/ John Duncan, Werner Diermaier & Ilpo Väisänen) on a regular basis. As Schneider TM he frequently plays improv concerts on varying instruments like processed guitar, electronics, or using field recordings, sometimes solo and other times together with the likes of Jochen Arbeit (Einstürzende Neubauten, ex-Die Haut), Damo Suzuki (ex-Can), Japanese dancer Tomoko Nakasato or video artists like Lillevan, pani K and Takehito Koganezawa. In 2007 Dirk Dresselhaus and Michael Beckett started the (online-) label MWM (MirrorWorldMusic) which over time grew into an extended archive and publishing imprint for a variety of releases of bands and projects from around their orbits.

Since 2010 Dirk has run a small studio called ZONE in Berlin, where most of his recent projects were realized aswell as works with Faust, Mutter, Yo La Tengo, To Rococo Rot, Golden Diskó Ship, Chris Imler, Ziguri, and others.
