The new krautfuzz album 19-2 is available from September 5th 2025 via MWM Bandcamp and on all preferred platforms(for quality, political & other reasonswe strongly recommendTIDAL).
The unedited recording fuzzkraut 19-2 captures the 19th (and most recent) studio session by the original core trio of the seminal improv-kraut-noise band krautfuzz, and marks their 6th digital release on MWM. Arriving hot on the heels of their widely acclaimed album Live at the Church (feat. J Mascis), which was released as LP/CD on Sulatron Records, this performance finds Imari Kokubo, Derek Shirley, and Dirk Dresselhaus at their most adventurous and uncompromising to date.
An excerpt of the 1st session of the same day, fuzzkraut 19-1 (Emmauswald Edit), was recently contributed to the Emmi Aid, a compilation by the initiative EMMAUSWALD BLEIBT! . 57 musicians and bands — including the Pet Shop Boys, Barbara Morgenstern, Christoph de Babalon, Bernard Sumner, Mouse on Mars, Kammerflimmer Kollektief, hackedepicciotto, Khan & Martina Bertoni, Jochen Arbeit andSchneider TM— have contributed original or previously unreleased songs to support the Emmauswald, which is threatened by deforestation — a musical wake-up call to save Berlin-Neukölln’s largest woodland.
Released on October 3rd 2025 via I Shall Sing Until My Land Is Free, a Ukrainian experimental music label supporting Ukrainian resistance against Russia by donating profits to self-defence & humanitarian foundations.
Brainwave Music No. III was initially recorded live on October 30th 2021 as part of 10 Brain Wave – sound installation – performances by Ilpo Väisänen, Dirk Dresselhaus(die ANGEL) in the Life on a Leaf house, Turku, Finland.
The concept was based on an interactive system including brainwave interfaces that allowed the two performers to process the sounds of several semi-modular synthesizersvia CV with their brain activities. Brainwave Music No. III features double bass clarinet overdubs by Ulrich Krieger (zeitkratzer, Lou Reed Band, Metal Machine Trio).
We are really psyched about the release of this new live album in collaboration with Sulatron Records for physical formats ! The improvisational band krautfuzz, with Imari Kokubo (drums), Dirk Dresselhaus (guitar, vocal), and Derek Shirley (bass) is embossed by an angular-futuristic tension, spanning from fuzzed-out neo-psych-rock, abstract, heavily processed minimalism to pure noise, and is open at the fringes, which also means that they usually invite surprise guests from diverse musical backgrounds for their live shows to play time-transcending music without a safety net while giving some extra attention to communication in-between each other as well as to the individual subconsciousness. Illustrious guest performers so far were Murat Ertel (Baba Zula), experimental sax player André Vida, Eleni Poulou (ex-The Fall) & Hilary Jeffery (zeitkratzer), Xambuca’s Chandra Shukla on processed e-sitar, and J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), who contributed some adventurous electric guitar explorations in the 2nd part of this live recording, which organically blend into the transcendental sonic approach of krautfuzz. As the three core members come from a variety of musical activities with the likes of faust, Schneider TM, die ANGEL, Locust Fudge, The Still, Monno, Vladislav Delay Quartet, Piratezombiedog or Hi-Speed Dubbing, the premise is to reduce stylistic concepts to their essence, implement moments of CHANCE and allow inspiration from unexpected styles such as contemporary classical or stochastic music. What started with occasional studio sessions in late 2022 has so far led to 5 regular krautfuzz releases and some live shows that left enthusiastic audiences behind.
Pulse of the Underground – ” a monumental masterpiece that will shake the ground (…)The album is an absolute triumph. It masterfully balances primal groove with processed minimalism, with absurdist glitches, auto-erotic feedback hymns (…) and the beautiful noise where past and future collide.”
AM:PLIFIED8.5/10 – “For all who dare to pull rock music out of its comfort zone and instead listen to the sound of controlled loss of control.”
Audiovisual Ohlsen Overkill – “So if you dig Acid Rock which cleanses your ears with its monstrous guitar sound while it propels you far into infinity – put your space suit on and strap up onto the outer shell of the Krautfuzz rocket! You won’t hear this style performed much better often.”
(…) Krautfuzz gelingt mit Live at the Church ein radikales Werk zwischen Performance, Klanginstallation und gelebter Philosophie.”
The NDR Kultur radio play adaptation of Fatma Aydemir‘s family novel “Dschinns” by Florian Fischer has been awarded the German Audiobook Prize 2025 (Deutscher Hörbuchpreis 2025) in the “Best Radio Play” category. The score was composed by Dirk Dresselhaus aka Schneider TM, who has long been a sought-after composer for film and radio. The jury’s statement states: “‘Dschinns’ gives the unheard and the unprecedented a grand entrance – through the performance of an outstanding ensemble of speakers in the subtle and clever production by Florian Fischer and through the artistically convincing soundscape composed by Schneider TM, whose sounds create worlds here.”
Available now at bandcamp as part of the ::: Gvoon – Versions ::: series :
“Gvoon – Version 1 contains two recordings that were created independently from each other more than 22 years apart and miraculously formed this musical unit by chance.“
It is a case of pop cultural archaeology. A search for traces in electronic music. After more than 30 years, lost tapes byHolger Czukay that he once recorded “for free disposal” have resurfaced. A sound meditation from 1997, now available for the first time remastered in the original and in a “version” by die ANGEL(Ilpo Väisänen / Dirk Dresselhaus) and Zappi W. Diermaier from the Krautrock legend Faust.
Gvoon – Version 1 is the first part of an extended rework/collaboration series based on the original Holger Czukay file with a wide range of artists which is coming up at MWM during the next couple of months.
Release date: 31st Jan 2025 (DIGITAL) / T.B.A. (PHYSICAL)

The FeedbackorchestraFBO was founded in Berlin in 1999 and consists of 8 electric guitarists who work exclusively with feedback. The music of the FBO is very concentrated and meditative on the one hand, yet at the same time has a very impressive physical presence, often drawing comparisons to various forces of nature by the audience. It’s a constantly and slowly rolling stream of vibrations, frictions, and rising and falling walls of sound in which tones and harmonies constantly attract, break, and find each other again. In addition to the contemplation and quiet moments, the music is often performed at thundering volume. The orchestra is always arranged in a circle to ensure the closest possible contact between the players, while the audience can freely move around this circle to listen to the music from different positions. The pieces are primarily performed in unusual locations with unique acoustic, architectural or other features. That respective space always mixes into the freely improvised piece being performed, creating impressive moments of mutual influence. (Another feedback in itself.).
FBO now has a permanent staff of guitarists who have been making music in various bands and projects in Berlin for several decades, like Ziguri, Knochen=Girl, Midget, Golden Showers, Mutter, Schneider TM, Metabolismus, Ilse Lau, and many more. The orchestra has been performing since 1999; the first show took place in the wide stairwell of the legendary club “Maria am Ostbahnhof.” This was followed by many performances in special places, such as cathedrals, ruins, concert halls, barns, and water reservoirs, from the Niederfinow ship lift to the Völkerschlachtdenkmal Leipzig, from Stasi headquarters to underground rock clubs. With the release of their 1st vinyl album via Edition Telemark / MWMin the fall of 2024, the FBO is now swiftly entering its second quarter of a century, as determined as ever.
” Side A begins with a slow swell, the kind of sound that feels less like a beginning and more like discovering something eternal already in progress. ” FBO Review – Chain D.L.K.
” FBO Review – SKUG
The improvisational bandkrautfuzz, with Imari Kokubo on drums, Dirk Dresselhaus on guitar and occasional vocals, and Derek Shirley on bass, is embossed by an angular-futuristic tension, spanning from fuzzed-out neo-psych-rock, abstract, heavily processed minimalism to pure noise, and is open at the fringes, which also means that they usually invite surprise guests from diverse musical backgrounds for their live shows to play energetic, dynamic, and time-transcending music without a safety net while giving some extra attention to communication in-between each other as well as to the individual subconsciousness. Among the guest performers so far were Murat Ertel (Baba Zula) and J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.). This special release documents a concert evening of 2 separate sets, the first played as a trio and the second as a quartet with guest appearance by André Vida, performed and recorded live on March 23rd, 2024, at Urban Spree, Berlin.
